The Transformed performances were outstanding! That's a bunch of gifted kids, but moreover, hearing them share about the impact TRANSFORMED has made in their lives was really encouraging and exciting. You could tell they loved what they were doing, but also really cared for and encouraged each other. - Bob Horn, Bothell
From 2005 to 2009, we were blessed to have worked with over 150 students between our weekly program, drama camps and retreats. David's legacy continues! In line with David's heart for Jesus and love for Straight Scripture, our North & South teams culminated our season of TRANSFORMED for a wonderful Spring Showcase featuring several scenes, mime, dance and Romans 12 in its entirety! 17 students, ages 11-16 representing 10 churches and 4 cities!
Teenagers and straight scripture performance - what a wonder!
James 2
James 3
James 4
Matthew 5
Romans 12

Dearest Debra,
I want to encourage you in your decision! Whether or not the red light is "blinking" or "solid" I am confident that the Lord will continue to confirm this path with fruit in your ministry to your family and refreshment for your soul. Be assured, also, that I have daily opportunity to witness the fruit of your ministry in my family, particularly with Anne. Her time with the Lord is much more vibrant than it used to be, largely because of learning to read God's Word dramatically, and giving no more credence to "Mr. Monotone," as Keith Ferrin puts it. I'm hopeful that I'll get to spread the vision you've given me, that of the power of reciting straight Scripture. I used it in a small way in a song I taught during our VBS (everybody recited from Psalm 96, instead of the vocal solo in the middle!). Your family is precious to us, and we will continue to lift you up to the Lord.

My daughter has been a part of Transformed since it's inception. Originally we were just excited to have found a drama group that would teach from a Christ-centered perspective, and we wouldn't have to be worried about compromises in subject matter and content. We hadn't really anticipated that scripture memorization and internalization of it, would be a major emphasis. So I asked my daughter today,"Why do you like Transformed so much? She replied, "It's all about the scripture, it keeps me aware of how I'm doing in my life... and then of course all the games" she added. So there it was. I was apparently supposed to have known the answer to my question, but honestly, I hadn't. What more could a parent ask for, but for an answer like that? - K. Betten, Bothell
Hi David and Debra,
We pray for a release of God's blessing on you and your family. May you be refreshed and renewed. Your faithfulness to the Lord has been a witness to all who know you. We will think of you often as this autumn begins to set in (especially on Thursdays!) You all have a special place in God's heart and I know His plans for you are only for good. Blessings to you all, Kim (mom of Chloe, who's been with us for 3.5 years)

Deb,
Lysbeth will miss it terribly. Most of all she will miss a wholesome, Christ centered activity with other kids and especially you and Jessica. She had a rough year and you were there. Definitely part of God's providence . bless you.
