NEW FROM TONYA NICHOLS!
"The Scent of Unabashed Devotion" (25 minutes) The woman who washed Christ’s feet with her hair tells her daughter the story of that meaningful day. Her daughter has come of age, and she shares the story of her sin muddled past and how Jesus came and washed her sins away. By removing her shame, fear, pain, and secret sorrow, He released her to demonstrate an unabashed devotion to Him that challenges us today to pour ourselves out at His feet. Although a wonderful offering for any church service or venue, this performance is most suited for women’s ministry events and is particularly poignant for Mother’s day as it highlights the inheritance of faith from a mother to a child. Addressing healing, redemption, worship, renewal, and safeguarding against a pious self concept, it has much to teach both those who have yet to meet Jesus, and those who have walked with Him many years. While the themes of this woman’s past are adult in nature, they are explained tastefully as would be told to a twelve year old coming of Jewish age. As the performance is very intimate and emotionally riveting, it is suggested that childcare be provided for children under age twelve. |
